QuiltConnect is a community app for quilters to share their work, connect with other makers, and use AI tools for pattern design and sewing help. This policy describes the information the app handles and how it is used.

You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. Your email address and the display name you choose are stored with your account. Passwords are managed by our hosting platform and are not stored in plain text. Your profile may also include a short bio and a profile photo that you upload.

The app stores the content you create and share, including:

• Posts: photos and captions you share, plus any tags you add.
• Comments: text you write on other members' posts.
• Messages: text you send in private conversations with other members.
• Journal entries: details about materials and projects you track, including optional photos, prices, store names, and notes.
• Saved posts: a list of posts you bookmark.
• Follows: the connections you make with other quilters.

The app records activity so it can show you notifications (likes, comments, follows, and messages), award achievement badges as you reach milestones, and count how many times you use the AI features each month.

Images you upload — post photos, your profile picture, and journal photos — are stored using the platform's file storage. When you attach an image to an AI request, that image is sent to the AI provider along with your prompt.

The quilting assistant and pattern generator use third-party AI models. Your prompts and any images you provide are transmitted to those AI providers in order to generate a response or image. The content of your AI conversations is used to produce replies within the app.

If you report a post or comment, the reason you select and any details you provide are stored so the admin team can review the report. Reported content is visible to admins for moderation purposes.

Your information is used to provide and personalize the features you see in the app, to display your activity to other members (such as your posts, comments, and badges), and to deliver notifications about interactions. Data you send to AI features is processed by the relevant AI provider to return results to you.

The platform may send you emails for account-related actions such as password resets and email verification, and in limited cases for notifications.

You can delete your account from the Profile screen at any time. This removes your posts, comments, messages, conversations, journal entries, saved posts, follows, badges, notifications, and profile. If any data cannot be removed automatically, the app will tell you what remains and direct you to support to complete removal.
